Third Man Records has announced its plans to open a new vinyl pressing plant, Third Man Pressing, which will hold a grand opening on February 25 at its location in Cass Corridor region of Detroit, MI, attached to the Detroit branch of TMR.

The plant will press vinyl along with screen-printing its own vinyl covers, and visitors will be able to view the process from the adjacent store’s platform. The grand opening will feature music from The Mummies, The Oblivians and Craig Brown Band, along with fresh, exclusive vinyls of The White Stripes’ first two LPs, The White Stripes and De Stijl, The Stooges’ debut self-titled album, the first MC5 album, Kick Out the Jams, a split LP from Destroy All Monsters and Xanadu, The Johnson Family Singers’ Don’t Let the Devil Ride and more.

The grand opening starts at 10am, with tours and music in the afternoon. More information can be found here.
