Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds closed out their inaugural Mexico destination event with another set full of bustouts and rare songs as well as an appearance from longtime collaborator Vusi Mahlasela.

Among the highlights, a rare opening take on “Little Thing” as well as the first Dave and Tim version of the Stand Up cut “You Might Die Trying.” Crash standout “Too Much” was played acoustic for the first time since 2015 and “Raven” made its first Dave and Tim appearance since 2012.

One of the band’s newer songs, Big Whiskey‘s “Dive In,” followed marking its first Dave and Tim play since 2011. From there, the duo dipped into more familiar tunes like “Gravedigger” and “#41” before welcoming Mahlasela for “Mother of Africa,” a song he and Matthews recorded for the 2016 documentary Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale. Vusi then hung around for a DMB staple, “Everyday.”

The rarities rolled on as unreleased DMB song “Help Myself” made its first appearance since 2013 and “Tripping Billies” closed a Dave and Tim show for the first time since 1999. Another first since 1999, the finale of “Stay” which also appeared in the encore for the first time ever at a Dave and Tim show.
