The National will give a live preview of their new album Sleep Well Beast next month, as the band is teaming with NPR Music and World Cafe for a “First Listen Live” performance from Philadelphia’s Union Transfer.

The band will play the new album in full on September 5, three days before its official release, and the performance will be streamed live on NPR Member stations and at their website. The audio broadcast will be hosted by NPR Music’s Bob Boilen and World Cafe’s Talia Schlanger.

Tickets to the show are available here. The National will kick off a world tour next month, with a North American leg that begins in Boston on October 5.
