Phil Lesh recruited familiar faces for a Central Park show that relied heavily on material played by the Jerry Garcia Band as well as a number of Grateful Dead favorites.

Teaming up with the Terrapin Family Band, Melvin Seals and Nicki Bluhm, Lesh and the ensemble rolled through early covers of “Tangled Up in Blue” as well as “They Love Each Other” and a Nicki Bluhm-led version of “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” along with “After Midnight.”

The group then paid tribute to Garcia with his “Mission in the Rain” along with “Reuben and Cherise” and a set-closing Bluhm-led cover of “I Second That Emotion.”

The second set leaned on some of the Dead’s grandest compositions, from the opening “Shakedown Street” to “Estimated Prophet” and “Playing in the Band.” After a spacey section that forayed in and out of “Dark Star” and “Morning Dew,” the group started “St. Stephen” that quickly found its way into an electric cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” before returning. Nicki Bluhm and Ross James led the band on “Turn on Your Lovelight” to close the set before the “Sugaree” encore.

Here’s a look at the setlist:
