Widespread Panic Take On "Ladies Night" Theme with New and Old Covers

Widespread Panic continued their Las Vegas run with the second of three shows at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo as the night took on the Ladies Night theme set by the band in the spirit of the Halloween weekend.

The band stayed true to the theme early on, playing songs like “Greta,” “Arleen” and the first cover of The Band’s “Ophelia” since October 22, 2016.

Much of the show, in some form or another, nodded to the theme of the night with the band picking it up in the second set with “Christmas Katie,” “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” and “Aunt Avis.” Panic then dipped back into their covers repertoire with the first “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” since July 15, 2016.

Later on in the second set, the group then debuted a cover of Tom Petty’s “Honey Bee” before the “Red Hot Mama” set closer.

Panic returns to Vegas tonight.
