As previously reported, Neil Young is offering his entire catalog for free via an extensive online archive, and today the collection goes live, coinciding with the release of Young’s new album with Promise of the Real, The Visitor.

The archive, which can be explored here, contains the descriptions and high-quality recordings of all Young’s recorded material over his over-50-year career, from early ’60s recording with The Squires through his stints with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, along with his solo material and most recent work with POTR. The collection even houses previously unreleased material full albums, although not all are currently available for streaming.

Young included a welcome note for fans to explain the website’s slightly unwieldy nature, though he notes that the best way to experience the site is through the timeline feature, which allows visitors to follow along with Young’s entire career. There is also a “file cabinet” feature, which provides a more visceral, interactive experience.

Young has also provided a nearly 10-minute video tutorial, in which he takes visitors through the various sections of the site. Watch that video below, and visit the impressive collection here.
