On April 6 and 7, My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James will join conductor Teddy Abrams and the Louisville Orchestra to “create a set of 7 songs for band and orchestra.”

According to the show’s official announcement, the song selection for both shows will feature James’ “top hits, selections from his latest album and new material” including “a brand new collaboration between James and Abrams.”

The shows will take place at Louisville’s Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.

Proceeds from both performances will benefit orchestral music education programs. More information, including tickets, can be found here.
