30db, the sporadic duo project featuring Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss and mandolinist Jeff Austin, will come together for a rare show next month at Martyrs’ in Chicago on May 11.

The performance will mark the first non-December show for the duo since their reunion in 2015 after not playing together since 2012 (30db have played Chicago gigs in that month each year since 2015). They have one album together, 2010’s One Man Show.

Last year’s December 30db show featured two sets including cuts from their album plus covers like The White Stripes’ “We’re Going to Be Friends,” the Allman Brothers Band’s “Little Martha” and Umphrey’s McGee’s own “Cut the Cable.” Watch a fan-shot vieo of the duo covering Modest Mouse’s “The Good Times Are Killing Me” at that show below.

Tickets for next month’s Martyrs’ show go on sale this Friday, April 6, at 10am CT here.
