Dead & Company made a stop at Oregon’s Autzen Stadium on Saturday night, playing two sets that included some of the band’s most introspective songs in their repertoire.

After a solid first half featuring an opening “Deal” as well as a “Peggy-O”> “Sugaree” jam, Dead & Company got heady for set two jamming nonstop from the opening “Dark Star” to the closing “Turn On Your Lovelight.”

Interestingly, on his Instagram John Mayer described the set-two “Dark Star”> “El Paso”> “Dark Star” opener as his “one setlist request for this tour.”

From there, the band dove straight into a “St. Stephen”> “William Tell Bridge”> “The Eleven” segment, and then sank into a “Drums/Space.” Out of the ether of “Space” came “Morning Dew” which was jammed into the lively, aforementioned “Turn On Your Lovelight.”

After taking a breather backstage, Dead & Company encored with an emotional “Brokedown Palace.”
