Melvin Sparks performed with Jason Crosby & Friends last night at Wetlands Preserve in New York City. Other collaborators included Leo Nocentelli (guitar, The Meters), Dave Diamond (drums, guitar, Zen Tricksters), Lo Faber (guitar, God Street Wine), Aaron Maxwell (guitar, God Street Wine), Andy Pfaff (bass, MJ12), Bill Titus (guitar, Rainbow Trout), Harvie Swartz (upright bass, Mike Stern, John Scofield) and Curtis Watts (drums, Stanley Jordan, Vernon Reid). Crosby played several songs off of his latest album, Out of the Box.
