Soulive has complete mixing its new live album, due out in April. The disc, which is comprised of material recorded during the bands fall tour, will also be enhanced with video, photos and additional MP3s. To promote the CD, the trio will travel to Japan for a six-night run at the Tokyo Blue Note beginning on March 31 (the record is scheduled for a mid-March release in Japan, where Soulive has quite a following).
In other news, Soulive has bought a studio in New York City. The band plans to use the new site for future albums as well as side projects.
After a New Years show at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, Soulive will head to Hawaii for five shows in Maui beginning January 3 at the Casanova. DJ Logic will also perform.
