Deep Banana Blackout saxophonist Rob Somerville sat in with Peter Prince & the Trauma Unit last night at Harpers Ferry in Allston, MA. Last nights core line-up featured guitarist/vocalist Peter Prince (Moon Boot Lover), guitarist Johnny Trama (Rockett Band), bassist Gary Wicks (Rockett Band), keyboardist Paul Wolstencroft (Jiggle), drummer Eric Kalb (Deep Banana Blackout), tenor saxophonist Paul Ahlstrand (Susan Tedeschi, Ronnie Earl) and trombonist Brian Thomas (John Browns Body). Somerville emerged in the first set for Moon Boots Bag a Day Habit. He returned later in the evening for another Moon Boot classic, Ali. The show was the groups first of a Wednesday night residency at Harpers during the month of February.
The band kicks off its Thursday residency tonight at Tobacco Road in New York City. Joining the line-up will be bassist Justin Wallace (ulu) and keyboardist Marco Benevento (Jazz Farmers).
