Soulive has released its spring tour itinerary. After six performances in Japan, the trio returns to the U.S. for a five-week jaunt that includes dates in California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. The band will play a two-night stand at the Fillmore in San Francisco on April 11 and 12 and at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO on April 15 and 16. The tour will coincide with the release of a self-titled live album due out April 8 on Blue Note. The disc features material recorded on Soulives fall tour.
Last night, guitarist Eric Krasno joined Peter Prince & the Trauma Unit at Tobacco Road in New York City (Erics bandmates, Neal and Alan Evans, are former members of Moon Boot Lover, along with Prince). Kras emerged towards the end of the night for Goodbye my Sweet Lady. The show also included a guest appearance by guitarist Fro, who stepped in for Blame Myself and Train.
