Guitarist Gary Backstrom and drummer Greg De Guglielmo have formally named their new project, 3 Tree. In addition to Backstrom (Jiggle) and De Guglielmo (Max Creek, Slipknot!) the trio includes bassist Pete Dennesen (ghudda). Over the last 25 years, Ive had the good fortune of playing and recording with a variety of really great people, says De Guglielmo. One of the things I’ve learned during that time is that our musical vocabulary is limited only
by what styles of music we choose to explore. In ’3 Tree,’ we share a common vision of creating music which is stylistically inclusive yet coherent and focused.
The group plays this Saturday, April 19 at the Attic in Newton, MA. The official website will be up and running soon at www.3treemusic.com.
