NEW ORLEANS – Karl Denson, Alan Hertz and Eric Levy sat in with Umphreys McGee last night at the House of Blues. Denson, who caught the tail end of the bands breakfast show earlier in the week at Howlin Wolf, emerged at the beginning of the second set for Water and Glory. Later in the set, Hertz added percussion to an instrumental jam and Levy joined Joel Cummins on keys for Frank Zappas Willie the Pimp. The show also featured portions of Van Halens Hot for Teacher and Metallicas One, as well as an enthusiastic cover of Stings When the World is Running Down.
