Drummer Matt Abts (Govt Mule, Blue Floyd) and keyboardist Johnny Neel (Allman Brothers Band, Blue Floyd) joined Jerkwater Ruckus Saturday at Tobacco Road in New York City. During the second set, Abts played congas and Neel added guitar and vocals to a 35-minute jam that included a tease of The Isley Brothers Its Your Thing. The set list also include Led Zeppelin covers such as The Song Remains the Same and Lemon Song.
Both Abts and Neel were in town for a gig with Dead Floyd (a collaboration with Pink Floyd cover band The Machine) earlier in the night at B.B. Kings.
Jerkwater Ruckus hits The G Spot this Friday in Glenville, NY. For the full calendar visit www.jerkwaterruckus.com.
