David Gans, host of the Grateful Dead Hour, has announced his initial fall touring schedule. Gans, who performs solo, will appear at the Marin Music Festival in San Rafael, CA on September 6, along with RatDog, County Joe McDonald and Jemimah Puddleduck. Other California gigs include September 12 at Club Fred in Fresno, CA and the Mill Valley Arts Festival on September 14. In October, David heads to the Southeast, for a show at De La Luz in Carrboro, NC on the 12th. Hell also take the stage at MagnoliaFest in Live Oak, FL, October 16-19. That line-up features Sam Bush Band, Donna the Buffalo, Railroad Earth,
Peter Rowan and the Larry Keel Experience, among others. Additional southeast dates will be released in the weeks ahead.
In other news, Gans DVD, Live at the Powerhouse is now available. It was recorded at the Powerhouse Brewing Co. in Sebastopol, CA.
