Founding Strangefolk members Jon Trafton and Reid Genauer have announced plans to perform an acoustic set together on October 4, prior to the Assembly of Dust concert at the State Theater in Portland, ME. Trafton and Genauers last public collaboration came last month at the Garden of Eden festival, when Reid sat in with his former band. Genauer also invited Jon to join him for ‘So Well’ and ‘Two Boys’ during his acoustic set earlier in the day.
In other Assembly of Dust news, the group has confirmed Gordon Stone as the opening act for its Halloween show at Higher Ground in Winooski, VT. Old school Strangefolk fans may have a tough decision on this night, as folk is playing nearby, at Johnson State College. It will be the bands first show since going on indefinite hiatus less than two weeks ago.
