Drummer Johnny McKnight {Delta Moon, New Yankee All-Stars) received emergency surgery last month as a result of a ruptured colon. Like many musicians, McKnight does not have medical insurance, so a number of his friends and colleagues have organized a benefit to defray his hospital expenses. This show, which will take place at Jake’s Toadhouse this coming Sunday the 21st will include performances by Yonrico Scott, Donna Hopkins Band, Delta Moon, King Johnson, Barry Richman and many others. The Dunhams who regularly broadcast from the venue on Sunday nights will be there as well. The evening will also include a raffle and a silent auction featuring band merch, electronic equipment and other items. Additional information including the means to offer a donation can be found at Johnmcknight.org.
