Although Strangers Helping Strangers is an organization that originally formed around the music of Strangefolk, it has expanded its ambit during the past year (particularly since Strangefolk has scaled back its touring schedule this fall). As result, over the next two Saturdays SHS will conduct non-perishable food drives at a440 performances. The first will take place at Nectar’s in Burlington on December 20 followed by an event at Worcester’s Tammany Hall with Jiggle and a440 on December 27. The individual who brings the largest donation this weekend will receive a gift package with tickets and CD’s, and everyone who brings any donation will be entered into a raffle to win music, a440 merch and passes to the Tammany show on the 27th.
