Last nights Vida Blue/Spam Allstars show showcased all of its participants and yielded an anticipated guest appearance as well. The material included Little Miami from the collaborative disc Illustrated Band along with older Vida Blue songs such as CJ3. In addition, Vida Blue bassist Oteil Bubridge contributed Get Ready, from his Family Secret disc, Russell Batiste offered up Russells Song, while Page McConnell and Batiste shared vocals for a version of The Meters Just Kissed My Baby. Later, McConnell emerged by himself for the initial encore which offered solo versions of Strange Design and Amoreena. Following this, Batiste, Burbridge and the Spam Allstars appeared for Final Flight. Jon Fishman (who performed an opening set with the Jazz Mandolin Project) then took the stage as well during Cars Trucks Buses. The tour continues this evening at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA.
