The Allman Brothers Band continued its Beacon Theater run on Friday and Saturday by inviting guest musicians to the stage and continuing to introduce new covers. On Friday night, Deep Banana Blackout’s Rob Somerville(sax) & Bryan Smith (trombone) appeared during the second set for Otis Redding’s ‘I’ve Got Dreams To Remember.’ A bit later, keyboard player Rob Barraco joined in for the ‘Southbound’ encore. Saturday included appearances by Susan Tedeschi on vocals and guitar during ‘Don’t Think Twice’ as well as Thom Doucette on harmonica throughout the night. In addition, both shows also featured the group’s take on ‘The Night They Drove Old Dixie.’ The ABB returns to the Beacon tonight with the run continuing through next Sunday.
