The Friday night debut of S.W.A.T., at the NorVa Theatre in Norfolk, VA featured a guest artist and implement. The roster itself was already suffuse with talent as the band was comprised of Melvin Sparks, Rob Wasserman, Matt Abts, and Topaz. However, Stanton Moore showed up following his appearance with Galactic at the Bayou Boogaloo Festival. By this point Matt Abts had kicked through the head of his bass drum, which led him to grab one from a spare kit that was in the venue. When Moore later appeared, Abts invited him to sit in on his kit, while he moved over to the other one and had the kick drum replaced with an empty garbage can. The pair then took turns playing on the garbage can kit over the next few songs of the show which ultimately extended over two and a half hours.
