Roll Hall of Fame drummer Michael Shrieve will perform with former new groove of the month, New Monsoon, this weekend at the Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash in Terra Alta, WV. Shrieve was still a teenager when he joined Santana, and gained some renown for a drum solo with the group at Woodstock. New Monsoon, currently the midst of a cross-country tour with a gig tomorrow night in Fayetteville, AR, is scheduled for two slots at the festival with Shrieve: late night in the Barn on Friday and on the main stage Sunday afternoon.
