On Saturday October 16, ekoostik hookah will make a return visit to Frontier Ranch with some additional artists to be announced. The group was at the site this past weekend for the latest installment of Hookahville. On Friday, both Dickey Betts and Rob Wasserman appeared with the host group, the former during hookahs own Backwoods Rose and the latter for stretch a that segued from Sister Sugar into Foxy Lady and then back into Sugar. That evening’s encore also include a passage from Though Hiker into the closing section of Phishs Divided Sky’ (Phish lighting director Chris Kuroda was working the board). As per tradition, ekoostik hookah closed out the event on the following evening, with a string of covers: horn-infused takes on of The Bands Dont Do It, Paul Simons Late in the Evening, and Peter Gabriels Sledgehammer.
