On Friday we noted that the Seth Yacovone Band had performed three albums in their entirety the previous night and wondered what the group might next attempt. However, rather than offering takes on earlier releases Yessir! or Bobfred’s Bathtub Minstrel as we suggested, the trio instead opted to go the opposite route. So on Friday at Porter’s Tap Room in Westbrook, CT, the SYB offered two sets of music that had not been recorded on any of its discs. The Breakfasts Tim Palmieri was on had for much of the second set as well.
