The Eden Valley Farm in Scottown, Ohio will offer its nod to the music of Appalachia on June 2-4. Promoter Robert W. Delong of Earth Productions proclaims, For too many years now the Appalachian region has been a place of poverty, drug abuse, unemployment, under education, and overall depression. Using the spirituality in these hills and the power of music, its time for an uprising! The resulting festival, dubbed Appalachian Uprising will focus on bluegrass, newgrass and jamgrass featuring such artists as Yonder Mountain String Band, Sam Bush Band, John Cowan Band, Larry Keel, Hot Buttered Rum String Band, Shanti Groove and many others with tickets going on sale March 1.
