This spring, Medeski, Martin and Wood bassist Chris Wood will work some family time into his already busy schedule. Chris and his brother, Atlanta-based guitarist Oliver, are currently writing material for a new duo record, focusing on the blues, R&B, and folk music the Woods have favored since childhood. Chris and Oliver Wood will preview their new material with a handful of live dates, making stops in New York, Woodstock, Macon, GA, Knoxville, TN, Atlanta, GA and Asheville, NC. On March 7 and 8, Wood will regroup with his longtime bandmates for four benefit concerts at New Yorks intimate Tonic .
