Diane Schniers debut recording Before Cowboys appeared last fall, drawing on material she had written for more than a decade. This past February she debuted a band featuring her husband Al (of moe. renown), moe. drummer Vinne Amico, and freebeerandchickens Kirk and Kenny Juhas. The quintet will return this weekend for a show on Saturday night at the Tundra Tavern in Syracuse, NY. The Juhas band, now called Okema, which includes Todd Pasternack (Marlow, Ominous Seapods), will open the night. Bonus Diane Schnier fun fact: her desert island list includes Todd Rundgrens 1972 double album Something/Anything (Bonus Diane Schnier husband fun fact: St. Augustine from moe.‘s new Warts and All release appeared very, very, very briefly on Wednesday’s South Park).
