Oteil Burbridge and Yossi Piamenta visited recent Heavenly Jams bandmate Yonrico Scott at the Knitting Factory last night. Following the Allman Brothers Band show already chock-full of asterisks, Burbridge and Piamenta stopped by the Yonrico Scott Band’s post-show performance. The duo joined the trio (which also features Burbridges brother Kofi) on Jimmy Smith’s ‘Back at the Chicken Sack.’ Piamenta remained on stage for several additional numbers, with a nod to Sun Ra along the way.
