Before heading east to host the Jammys next Tuesday, Phil Lesh paid a visit to some of his newest ‘friends’ this weekend. Lesh joined Phil & Friends members Railroad Earth when the New Jersey collective rolled into San Francisco’s The Independent last Friday. The bassist emerged for a version of ‘Seven Story Mountain,’ before offering reworked Dead-standards ‘Friend of the Devil,’ ‘Terrapin Station,’ and ‘Going Down the Road Feeling Bad.’
Railroad Earth are back on the road headed for a show at Albuquerque NM’s Stella Blue on Wednesday.
