This Friday night prior to New Monsoons gig at Stella Blue in Asheville, NC, the club’s green room was raided. As a result, the band was forced to perform without its piano player and soundman. While the band was not compelled to cancel any gigs, future legal costs are anticipated. As a result, a fan-based effort to support the group has been established with donations being pledged on-line. Meanwhile, the band plays on, in Memphis, TN at the Young Avenue Deli this evening.
