Widespread Panic spent the past two-nights performing at Lake Tahoe, NVs Caesar’s Tahoe Showroom. Adding to the festive environment, throughout the groups two-night stand, many of Dave Schools Stockholm Syndrome bandmates filtered onto the stage. Tuesday night, longtime band collaborator, and Stockholm co-founder, Jerry Joseph joined Widespread Panic on guitar and vocals for two of his own songs: Light Is Like Water and North. A night later, Stockholm Syndrome axe-man Eric McFadden joined in on guitar and mandolin for Picking up the Pieces five songs into the groups second set. McFadden remained onstage for a cover of the Talking Heads Life During Wartime, which faded into a group jam featuring Stockholm percussionist Wally Ingram and Brad Rosen. While Rosen is not a member of Stockholm Syndrome, he has performed with its members over the years, currently as a member of Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormons. Tomorrow, Widespread Panic begins a three-night stand at Berkeley, CAs Greek Theatre.
