Tony Hall has been pulling double duty as of late, playing bass in both Trey Anastasios 70 Volt Parade and Ivan Nevilles Dumpstaphunk. Friday night Halls schedule looked particularly busy with a gig scheduled at Philadelphias Penns Landing with 70 Volt Parade and a late-night performance at New Yorks BB King Blues Club with Dumpstaphunk. Instead of opting out of one of his shows, Hall pulled a Warren, flying from Philadelphia to New York in time for Dumpstaphunk’s 2:00 AM start. Hall also brought along Trey Anastasio, who joined Dumpstaphunk onstage for much of its set, including his own Cayman Review. Anastasio later yielded to Eric Krasno who sparred with guitarist Ian Neville until 4 AM. Other guests dropping by throughout the evening included veteran New Orleans trombonist Big Sam, who performed in town a day earlier with his Funk Nation, and the Lettuce Horns, who opened Neville’s BB King show.
