Over the next two evenings, New Yorks Zipper Theatre will host Masters and Allstars’ aplenty to support the Preservation Hall Relief Fund for New Orleans musicians (which aids musicians recovering from Hurricane Katrinas impact). Tonight, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Idris Muhammad will be joined by Eric Krasno, Donald Harrison and Will Bernard as the Souljazz-Funk Masters. On Saturday, the Coast-To-Coast Allstars will be comprised of Topaz, Sam Kininger, Cyrus Madan, John Staten, Ron Johnson, Jason Concepcion and Bernard. Additional musicians may well join in the action on both nights.
