Each Tuesday Brett Hughes plays host to the Honky Tonk Sessions at local Burlington, VT establishment Radio Bean. A popular open mic night, the weekly gig allows Green Mountain state natives to jam with many of the local and professional musicians currently gigging on the greater Burlington area. On this particular Tuesday, however, three of Vermont’s brightest stars—-Mike Gordon and the RAQ duo of Chris Michetti and Todd Stoops—-stopped by, backing each performer for a set Stoops describes as ‘country/honky tonk covers.’ RAQ is currently working on its next studio album, while Gordon, who recently returned to Vermont on a full-time basis, is gearing up for a week of dates with the Benevento/Russo Duo the last week of December.
