Ryan Adams, who missed out on his scheduled performances with Phil Lesh & Friends in late October due to unspecified personal reasons, returned to the stage with Lesh last evening. Adams was part of the Phil & Friends line-up that appeared at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. He joined Lesh, Joan Osborne, John Molo, Rob Barraco and Barry Sless for the show which also featured an opening set from the John Mayer Trio. Adams contributed vocals and guitar throughout the evening, taking a heavy hand in a segued run that opened the second set, moving from Dark Star to Wharf Rat to The Other One and on into his Nobody Girl (from Gold). Phil & Friends continue their three nights in San Francisco tonight at the Warfield.
