Mike Gordon will perform with a new collective, Ramble Dove, at the fifth annual Bonnaroo festival this summer. According to Gordons management, the new project will feature a number of Vermont musicians, paying homage to classic Nashville honky-tonk. Gordon, a longtime admirer of bluegrass and honky-tonk, is largely responsible for bringing songs like Ginseng Sullivan and Uncle Pen into Phishs repertoire.

As reported on Relix.com , Gordon joins an eclectic list of musicians at Bonnaroo this June, including Radiohead, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Phil Lesh and Beck. While Bonnaroo will add a number of artists to its lineup in the coming weeks, as of now many of the artists who have performed every Bonnaroo, including Galactic, Warren Haynes, Bob Weir and the members of Widespread Panic, are currently absent from the festivals lineup. Among the notable acts returning to Manchester, TN are moe., Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Soulive, Mike Doughty, Dr. John, Matisyahu, G. Love & Special Sauce, Jerry Douglas, My Morning Jacket, Ricky Skaggs, Medeski Martin & Wood, Nickel Creek and Gomez. On pace to rival its counterparts in Redding and Glastonbury, Bonnaroo has also expanded its roster to include artists from all corners of the musical universe including Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Folds, Blues Traveler, Amadou & Mariam, Bill Frisell, and Damian Marley. For those keeping score at home, a few veterans of the inaugural Bonnaroo will also be on-hand including Lesh, moe., Soulive, Robert Randolph, and Bela Fleck, who performed a sun shower set alongside Edgar Meyer.
