On Saturday, New Monsoon got into the Mardi Gras spirit during its performance at Los Angeles’ Fais Do Do. The Bay Area-band opened its performance with a Fat Tuesday parade which segued into a calypso jam to open its performance. Adding to the festive spirit, New Monsoon also welcomed a troupe of Go Go Dancers to the side of its stage and distributed beads throughout to its entire audience. On Thursday, at Santa Cruz, CA’s Moes Alley, New Monsoon also earned mention in the Latest by welcoming Karl Denson Tiny Universe guitarist Brian Jordan to the stage for a version ‘Too Many Miles.’ New Monsoon will perform next at Sacramento, CA’s The Library on March 3.
