Skerik will perform in a variety of configurations throughout the New York-area throughout the remainder of March. On Saturday, the horn-freak will join bassist Todd Sickafooses combo at Kavehaz, joining a similar configuration of musicians again on March 28 at 55 Bar. A day later, Skerik will team with bassist Todd Sickfoose and drummer Simon Lott for a trio performance at Tonic. Looking ahead, Skerik will perform with Headhunters drummer Mike Clark at New Yorks Blue Note on April 8 and the choice combo of Bobby Previte, Charlie Hunter and Marco Benevento at San Franciscos Independent on May 20. Skerik’s Syncopated Taint Septet will also release a studio album, Husky on June 27 through Hyena records.
