Yesterday we reported on the Jamakazi event which will take place on April 30 at New Orleans Howlin Wolf with George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville, Eric Krasno, Russell Batiste, Skerik and others. Five days later some of these performers will return to the club to participate in another collective jam. The 4th Annual Bayou Rendezvous will feature the New Orleans All-Stars, a group comprised of area musicians including Porter, Neville, Johnny Vidacovich and Theresa Andersson. Additional artists will be added to the mix as well on a bill that also features Papa Grows Funk, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Papa Mali & Friends, many of whom likely will appear with the All-Stars.
