While Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner focus on their Conspirator project in early-April, Jon Gutwillig has confirmed a Philadelphia-residency of his own. Gutwillig will teach Kaplans Cracking the SAT II: Math from 6:30-9 PM, Mondays and Wednesdays from April 3 to May 12. Gutwillig is expected to draw from all corners of the mathematic canon, including logarithms, pie-charts, absolute value, linear geometry and exponents. Given the Disco Biscuits unconventional song structure, students can also expect Gutwillig to teach Algebra II before Algebra I, later segueing into a 45-minute lecture on Geometry (with a few scattered trigonometry teases). Though Gutwillig encourages fans to take notes throughout the six week course, a limited number of taper tickets will be sold through online Bisco Tix. Since former Disco Biscuit drummer Sam Altman is currently enrolled Kaplans Cracking the MCAT Monday nights, fans can also expect some cross-pollination throughout the spring semester.
