Last night, Bob Weir and RatDog kicked off their three-night run at New York’s Beacon Theater. Before the show, Donald Trump (yes, that Donald Trump) introduced RatDog, reminding fans that the Grateful Dead hold the record for sold out appearances at Madison Square Garden. During RatDogs second set, DJ Logic also took the stage, appearing on ‘China Cat Sunflower’ and ‘I Know You Rider.’ Logic also participated in a free-form jam midway through the groups second set, beginning with a ‘drums and DJ’ duel with Jay Lane. DJ Logic first befriended RatDog on 2001s So Many Roads tour, joining the group on the road for a period of time in 2002. RatDog will return to the Beacon Theater tonight.
