Over the weekend, Widespread Panic returned to the road for two performances at Raleigh, NC’s Walnut Creek Amphitheater. Longtime Widespread Panic producer John Keane joined the group on guitar and pedal steel throughout its two-night stand, including a choice segue between ‘Chilly Water’ and ‘Proving Ground’ night one. During the end of its set Saturday, longtime band guitar tech also Sam Holt emerged for ‘Machine’ and ‘Barstools and Dreamers.’ Widespread Panic performs next May 8th at Atlanta’s Fox Theater. The group’s May 9 performance on the Fox Theater will be simulcast in movie theaters nationwide.
