While best known as the daughter of bassist Rob Wasserman, singer/songwriter Sara Wasserman, has built a solid career for herself, recording with the likes of Aaron Neville and Lou Reed, as well as sharing the stage with RatDog. Tonight, the younger Wasserman will perform a set at New York’s Pianos, debuting songs from her forthcoming Wassermans performance will benefit the Casa de Milagros (Home of Miracles), a children’s home in the Sacred Valley near historic Machu Picchu, Peru. Casa de Milagros was founded by the Chandler Sky Foundation ‘to heal the mind, body and spirit of many of the thousands of orphaned and abandoned children living in poverty on the streets of Cusco, Peru and surrounding towns.’
