When they perform for approximately one minute at US Cellular Field this weekend in Chicago, area residents Umphreys McGee will reach a Chicago cultural apex. On Sunday at 12:56 CST the band will sing the national anthem at the White Sox game. However this is not any regular season game but rather it is the MBL Interleague Cross-Town Classic as the White Sox take on their local rivals, the Cubs. Tomorrow night, Umphrey’s appears in a different platform joining Huey Lewis on Jimmy Kimmel Live for a version of ‘Women Wine and Song.’
