Starting on Saturday, Perpetual Groove will host its fifth annual Amberland festival (which moves to Deerfields, NC after four years in the bands native Georgia). This past weekend however the group wrapped up some a series of pre-Amberland gigs. On Friday night at Browns Island in Richmond, VA, Ivan Neville followed up an area appearance with Dumpstaphunk and joined PGroove at The Canal Club for a version of The Staples Singers Ill Take You There. As for the coming weekend, Perpetual Groove will offer three sets of Perpetual Groove each day, with the possibility of more, always looming near.
