American Idol Taylor Hicks, who has long expressed his appreciation fopr the swampy soul of Widespread Panic, finally had an opportunity to perform with the group. Last night at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, Hicks, fresh off the cover of People magazine, came out at the end of the night, adding harmonica to Fishwater (while keeping his patent-pending spazzy dancing to a minimum). Meanwhile, John Keane continued his summer tour with the group, which performed Better Off for the first time since 11/14/01. Panic returns to the Wiltern tonight and tomorrow.
