Last week Love Scene Clear guitarist Joshua Lewandowski was killed in an automobile accident just outside Boulder. Lewandowski, played a 12-string for the Boulder-based trio which has described its music as ‘ambient transcendelic rock.’ His brother Christian, the band’s vocalist/flautist, also was in the car and is on the path to recovery following his own hospital stay.
The groups percussionist Jeffrey Giering offered the folowing thoughts on Joshua Lewandowski at the band’s website: ‘Besides being the most rockin twelve-string guitar player ever, Joshua was also one of the most caring, loving, compassionate souls I have ever met. He stirred peoples hearts, made us laugh and cry, and his passion for life and love could be felt miles away. Not only has the music world lost an incredible artist whose creativity was completely unique, but the entire world has lost a deep-hearted force of love. Joshua will live on in the music of Love Scene Clear, in the hearts of all those he touched and in the spirit of nature and love everywhere. We are deeply saddened, but Joshuas passion for life will continue to inspire and teach us as we live on. So take Joshuas life as a lesson to live fully, to live your dreams and to live in love’
Supporters of the group have established a memorial fund in memory of Joshua to help support Christians recovery and hospital bills. Checks can be made out to LSC-Christian Lewandowski Care Fund and sent c/o Oneida Savings Bank 182 Main St. Oneida, NY 13421, with additional details at the Love Scene Clear site.
