The Meters will return for a few more shows next month. Art Neville, Zigaboo Modeliste, George Porter Jr. and Leo Nocentelli came back together for a performance at the 2005 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival have gone on to play sporadic gigs over the ensuing 15 months. They will do so once again in August beginning with a date at New York Citys Nokia Theater on August 3. The quartet will then appear at the Newport Folk Festival on August 6, followed by a date with the Neville Brothers at the Hollywood Bowl on August 16.
